1.
All that we are is the result of our thoughts We are founded on our thoughts We are made up of our thoughts If we speak or act with an evil thought Evil will follow us, like a shadow never leaving us If we speak or act with a good thought Good will follow us, like a shadow never leaving us
2.
He abused me, he beat me He defeated me, he robbed me For those who harbor such thoughts Hatred will never cease He abused me, he beat me He defeated me, he robbed me For those who forget such thoughts Hatred will cease to be
3.
Hatred does not cease by hatred at any time Hatred only ceases by love And that's a very old rule
4.
The world does not know that we all must come to an end here But those who know it, their troubles cease at once
5.
You who lives only looking for pleasure Your senses uncontrolled You're not moderate in your food Your senses uncontrolled The tempter will certainly overthrow you Just as the wind throws down a weak tree You who lives without looking for pleasure Your senses well controlled You're moderate in your food Faithful and strong The tempter will certainly not overthrow you Anymore than the wind throws down a rocky mountain
6.
Those who imagine truth in untruth And see untruth in the truth Never arrive at truth But follow vain desires Those who know truth in truth And untruth in untruth Arrive at the truth And follow true desires
7.
As the rain breaks through a leaky roof Passion breaks through an un-reflecting mind As the rain won't break through a solid roof Passion won't break through a well reflecting mind
8.
Evil doers mourn in this world They mourn in the next They mourn and suffer when they see the evil they have done The virtuous delight in this world They delight in the next They delight and rejoice when they see the good things they have done
9.
Evil doers They suffer in this world and they suffer in the next They suffer when they think of the evil they have done They suffer more when they go the evil path The Virtuous They're happy in this world and they're happy in the next They're happy when they think of the good they have done They're happy when going on the good path.
10.
The thoughtless one, even if they can recite a large portion of the dharma If they don't practice what they preach, its as if they're counting the money of others The thoughtful one, even if they can't recite a small portion of the dharma If they have forsaken passion and hatred and foolishness If they possess true knowledge and serenity of mind Indeed, they practice what they preach

Heart Sutra 05:24
The Heart Sutra Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, meditating deeply on Perfection of Wisdom, saw clearly that the five aspects of human existence are empty, and so released herself from suffering. Answering the monk Sariputra, she said this: Body is nothing more than emptiness, emptiness is nothing more than body. The body is exactly empty, and emptiness is exactly body. The other four aspects of human existence -- feeling, thought, will, and consciousness -- are likewise nothing more than emptiness, and emptiness nothing more than they. All things are empty: Nothing is born, nothing dies, nothing is pure, nothing is stained, nothing increases and nothing decreases. So, in emptiness, there is no body, no feeling, no thought, no will, no consciousness. There are no eyes, no ears, no nose, no tongue, no body, no mind. There is no seeing, no hearing, no smelling, no tasting, no touching, no imagining. There is nothing seen, nor heard, nor smelled, nor tasted, nor touched, nor imagined. There is no ignorance, and no end to ignorance. There is no old age and death, and no end to old age and death. There is no suffering, no cause of suffering, no end to suffering, no path to follow. There is no attainment of wisdom, and no wisdom to attain. The Bodhisattvas rely on the Perfection of Wisdom, and so with no delusions, they feel no fear, and have Nirvana here and now. All the Buddhas, past, present, and future, rely on the Perfection of Wisdom, and live in full enlightenment. The Perfection of Wisdom is the greatest mantra. It is the clearest mantra, the highest mantra, the mantra that removes all suffering. This is truth that cannot be doubted. Say it so: Gaté,gaté, paragaté, parasamgaté. Bodhi! Svaha! Which means…Gone, gone, gone over, gone fully over. Awakened! So be it!

Aryan Shalone Virginia Beach, Virginia

I love music, and Buddhism, and I hope for worldwide interpersonal acceptance. That is a phrase I'm coining. It is a state of world affairs where everyone everywhere is accepted exactly as they are. How could peace not prevail in such a state? My music is geared toward this goal, and if you wish to support my endeavor be my guest & thank you. May you be healthy, happy and peaceful! ... more
